Mumbai Indians
With a strong squad consisting of Harmanpreet Kaur, Hayley Matthews, Natalie Sciver-Brunt, etc. Mumbai Indians seem like the best squad in the WPL. And they have proved the same by defeating their opponents in the first two matches easily. Hayley Matthews has been brilliant so far with both bat and ball, scoring runs at a high strike rate at the beginning and picking up crucial wickets. Another player who has been outstanding in the first two matches is Saika Ishaque, this uncapped Indian bowler has been extraordinary with the ball. She has picked up 6 wickets in two games, including a 4-fer in the first match. Winning their first two games, Mumbai now has the highest chance of finishing at the top of the Tata WPL 2023 Points Table.

Delhi Capitals is led by the 5 ICC trophy winner, Meg Lanning. She has the absolute experience of leading a team and has proved so in International Cricket. Apart from being a brilliant captain, she is also outstanding with her bat. She has batted very well in the first two games and is currently the highest run-getter in Tata WPL 2023. Apart from her, the team has some other solid players in the form of Shafali Verma, Marizanne Kapp, Jemimah Rodrigues, etc. Marizanne Kapp has shown why she is considered one of the best all-rounders in the world. Shafali Verma has given good and fast starts to the team. Tara Norris, the only associate nation player in the Tata WPL, has been amazing with the ball picking up 5 wickets in the first two games. Delhi could top the Women’s IPL Points Table 2023, given the experience their captain and team members have.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB has lost their first two matches, but it should not take focus away from the fact that they have the best team on paper. With the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Heather Knight, and Renuka Yadav, they have the power to turn things around. RCB also has the most bowling options out of all the teams in Tata WPL 2023. RCB’s campaign hasn’t started very with, as they have been handed defeats by big margins. DC defeated them by 60 runs, and Mumbai plummed them by 9 wickets. But RCB has the squad to shift things around. They would like to change gears and finish at the top of the Women’s Premier League 2023 Points Table.
